FPGA Engineer

    Organization: Engineering.

    Job Description:
    The FPGA Engineer is responsible for contributing to the design, development, integration, and support of BEEcube’s rapidly expanding library of hardware and software interfaces. Emphasis is placed on design skills with Xilinx tools and FPGAs for the implementation of internal logic, embedded software, and system-level features. Familiarity with both Windows and Linux platforms is necessary, and any previous experience using Matlab is preferred. As part of our goal to consistently deliver the best customer service, excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required, along with a willingness to work directly with customers in both training and support environments.
    Responsibilities:
    • Develop, integrate, and validate FPGA logic, FPGA interfaces, and embedded software
    • Author product documentation, white papers, and other reference material
    • Confirm and find solutions to customer-submitted bug reports
    • Perform on-site and off-site training, demonstration, and support sessions
    • Potential travel to customer sites, as needed
    Requirements:
    • BS or higher degree in Computer, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering
    • 0-5 years of industrial work experience
    • Experience with Xilinx FPGAs and design/debugging tools
    • Experience writing VHDL and Verilog for synthesis on FPGAs
    • Experience writing C/C++ code, preferably in an embedded environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Good teamwork and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic startup environment

Hardware/Firmware Engineer

    Job Description:
    The Hardware/Firmware Engineer is responsible for contributing to the design, development, maintenance, and support of BEEcube’s hardware products and embedded firmware. Job functions include a wide range of the system-level hardware design process, from architecture (user interfaces, control methodology, thermal/mechanical requirements) to PCB implementation (schematic capture, part selection, basic layout) to firmware development (FPGA integration, microcontroller programming). Experience with logic synthesis (VHDL/Verilog) and low-level programming (C/C++) is required, as well as strong proficiency with both Windows and Linux platforms. Hands-on experience with Xilinx devices (FPGA/CPLD) is highly preferred. As part of our goal to consistently deliver the best customer service, excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required, along with a willingness to work directly with customers in both training and support environments.

Hardware Technician

    Organization: Engineering
    Location: Fremont, California. No relocation
    Schedule: Full time
    Job Description:
    The Hardware Technician contributes directly to the production, testing, and repair of BEEcube’s growing line of hardware products. The primary responsibility of this new team member is to perform functionality testing and final configuration of our products before shipment to our customers. Part of this job function will also include writing test reports and basic technical documentation, such as testing and assembly procedures. Repair and refurbishing of faulty systems is occasionally necessary, so experience with electronic component and PCB repair (soldering, safe handling techniques, etc.) is recommended. Additional responsibilities of the Hardware Technician include performing kitting and partial assembly of components before manufacturing, receiving production materials into inventory, and maintaining the environment and inventory for our lab. Candidates with experience using Linux command line tools and scripting languages are highly encouraged to apply.
    Responsibilities:
    • Functionality testing of manufactured hardware products
    • Final system configuration, preparation, and packaging of outgoing shipments
    • Occasional repair of electronic components and PCBs
    • Kitting and partial assembly of product components before manufacturing
    • Receive incoming production materials into inventory
    • Maintain lab environment and asset inventory
    Requirements:
    • Relevant 2-year degree, or high school diploma plus 2-3 years work experience
    • Strong proficiency using both Windows and Linux PCs
    • Strong proficiency with standard office productivity software (Word, Excel, etc.)
    • Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment
    • Experience with electronic components and PCB repair
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Good teamwork and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic startup environment
